One of the main reasons we are launching BG Views is because we don't want college media to be a one way conversation anymore. We want your feedback and your input. Our Community site is made up of Blogs, Forums, and Community Blogs. In the Community Blogs, you have the ability to participate in the writing process.

create entry pic.pngSigning up for a BG Views Network account will allow you to post articles and entries to our community blogs and forums. It has more features, with others to come, but at the root of it all is the ability to write here on BG Views.
After you have verified your account, you can sign up for a blog or forum. If you are a group or organization, that is even better! We will work with you to co-brand a community site on BG Views. You can see two examples of this right now: Parent & Family Programs, and Off Campus Student Services. Currently not much content, but there will be soon!

Typepad logo 2.pngOpenID is a great standard for global sign-ins, and Movable Type comes with much OpenID support. You may already have an OpenID and not know it: AOL, Blogger, Flickr, LiveDoor, Livejournal, SmugMug, Technorati, Vox, Yahoo, and WordPress are some of the biggest ones.

connect-button-lg.gifTypePad (TypeKey is the name most will be familiar with) is another authentication method we use as it is and has been a part of Movable Type forever. Last but not least is Facebook support using Facebook Connect. Facebook is a big part of our lives, it just turned five too, and commenting with Facebook is a great way to show all your friends what you are talking about at BG Views.

Evil plan, isn't it?
